yes indeed....for all of our nexus family from other parts of the globe where thanksgiving isn't an official holiday- this holiday here in the states was originally based on giving thanks for the kindness and generosity bestwoed upon the pilgrims by the native peoples of northern america.....we have done a pretty good job of bungling things up since that time and many like to point this out at this time of the year.... Sad

however, i choose to use this day (and everyday) to give thanks....a.k.a. LOVE AND GRATITUDE, to all those who are in my life. you all here at the nexus fit that description and then some!

thank you all for every wonderful interaction, pearl of wisdom, heated debate, loving gesture, word of encouragement, vulnerable revelation and every other amazing gift of your self you have shared. i am touched, moved and inspired by each and every one of you DAILY!! you mean a great deal to me. truly.

WITH ALL THE LOVE AND GRATITUDE I CAN GIVE,

antrocles

I to would like to thank all here for being who you all are. In what ever country you may be in. Its a nationalistic US holiday yes but the acknowledgement of Gratitude for what you may have no matter how meager it may be and the willingness to share with those less fortunate is something I can embrace on a daily basis.

It would be nice if we had not taken peoples land and ruined there culture but I can not change that. I can say honestly it was not my ancestors as they were peaceful non violent "radical" Quakers who came to America with William Penn to escape the religious persecution of Purists. Yes I have done the DNA test and have traced my genealogy from Asia to Europe and filially the United States

Maybe some day every day will be Thanksgiving for all of Humanity.
I will be SWEET if I live long enough to see it.
