I tried the Salt-tek and the first pull of naphtha is very brownish dark (old whiskey), not milky at all. What did I do, should I proceed?

Seems like you got a lot of plant matter with the pull. Do a freeze and see what the result is. If Im correct you will get very dark brown spice that will be good after some re x.

Ok, thank you. After some waiting one can see a yellowish milky layer and the darker stuff. I used some paper to clean of the turkey baster and while taking the new pic I suddenly perceived the familiar smell .

Looks like if you're patient most of the fine, dark particulates will settle out. It's better to use a tall, thin vessel for the settling process.

A bit of patience now will make your life easier in the long run.

Pls let us see the finish spice

After freezing the first pull some small white crystals formed on the plate, but most of the plate was rather waxy. I had a lot of it on my fingers and wanted to test it, I massaged a tiny amount of it into the wall of my nose, it started to burn and now I'm mistrusting my kitchen chemics. How can I check if this will not harming to my lungs? What can go wrong even if somebody followed the tek reasonably well?

Oh it will burn! totally fine! Thats why shall not put things in your nose as mommy told you when you were younger

A Re-x on your yield and all is good.

You could also do in the future if you ger similar problem add some "bicarbonate water" to your pull, shake, let settle then separate, this use to clean up pretty good!

Snorting freebase really burns! (But it does work quite well.)


Not that I'd personally recommend it, solely on account of the pain (and the lumps of nose-flesh that sometimes fall out).

I, too, had pulls that were very dark.

As usual, Cyb's Max Ion.

A variation on my part - I put 100g powdered MHRB into one extraction vessel, as opposed to my usual 50g powdered MHRB.
Secondly, this is a different batch of bark.

First picture, you can see how dark the Naphtha is.
But I believe you can also see how clear it is.

So I freeze-precipitated the first two pulls in one pan, then pulls 3-5 in a second pyrex.

After 36 hours, I still had lots and lots and lots of floaties, so I decanted them into a different jar.

So I have 3 'scrapes' of the two pans:

First and biggest 'scrape' is the first two pulls, something like 1.030g.

Second 'scrape' is pulls 3-5, about .3g.

Third 'scrape' is digging deep into each pyrex with the razor to get the remaining goo. About .060g.

I reduced the naphtha in the jar full of floaties and have begun cooling it, have to see how that turns out.

I will test soon, and see what happens.

On many different levels I was quite concerned about this.

Counted to 15 slowly and exhaled a huge cloud.

Mostly amnesia, but primary color Yellow, big dome.

Telling myself 'breathe breathe listen pay attention....' but I can't..
The dome got small, closing me in, feeling like I'm in a small cubicle a woman watching and a girl, what - sitting then back up then sitting over and over? practicing sitting?

I remember the dome again I always get like building block things with the alphabet but it's not my language but focusing my attention to a bright light spot that's what happened I focused there then the dome collapsed and in the cubicle and the woman and the child sitting.

I kind of come-to and the hound is on my lap, he had been sleeping hard in the other room so I must have vocalized, at least. He's loving me and I have to give it back but the room exploded into life, like it always does, the thing jumping out from behind the speaker and trying to get my attention then back hiding and I try to learn somewhere else in the room and he/it comes out and starts humping the speaker until I look then he's gone again...

goodness gracious. When I describe to my friends I will be using curse words as adjectives and exclamations.
