So I just went to go check on one of my extractions and there is spice but its all floating in the naptha should I just pour the naptha through a filter and collect the spice or just leave it in the freezer for awhile longer

The longer the freeze the better always.
I dont think filtering is necessary. The dmt is heavier so you can just pour off the naptha carefully.

Yes just pour carefully, the floaters will settle.

I sometimes pour at from corner of the dish and then from the opposite corner. The floaters will stick to the glass.

How long has it been sitting in the freezer? I've noticed that if I only wait ~8 hours then there is a lot more floaters than if I wait 12-24 hours. The longer you wait, the more the floating bits will find crystals to attach to.

hi what i do is put one of those gold coffee filters in the freezer too -in plastic bag so it doesn't get wet, and I pour the naptha through it---it will quickly trap the dmt. I mean the metal filters. I notice it takes too long for the paper kind to drain and by then some of it goes back into solution.

Welcome to the forum. Next time, try to post your extraction questions in the appropriate forum. "Introduction essay" is there for a different purpose.
