So I want to get known how I will definetly make my Harmala Seeds and MHRB to atomic eradicated microscopic powder - well you know - something at least small enough to get really good going.


What I was thinking about now:


Harmalas into freezer and then smash them with a Hammer - is it enough ?

I may then afterwards use a coffe grinder, but what I was reading from very cheap ones, the a budget grinder is not enough to yield real powder. Is it right ? Do you have an *upper class* coffe grinder to get powder ?

+ do you freeze it again before using the Coffee Grinder ?



Root Bark into freezer and then use a scissor to reduce the size. But then it's still in big stripes / pieces so I think a hammer won't get me any further. I guess at that point the Bark is still too big for a coffe grinder, so I may put it into a smoothie-mixer. But can this mixer really rip it down into pulver ?
And furthermore: Won't the mixer get damaged by the rough plant material ...
So if COULD use a mixer - how do I get it into powder afterwards ? Again Coffe Grinder ? As for now I am not really sure, if I can imagine to get it down to powder with this machine : o

I've done side by side extracts with ACRB powder where one batch was freeze thawed 3 times and the other batch was done with microwave lysis & there was no difference in yield with the same weight of starting material.

I believe if the product is micronised properly almost all of the cell walls will be disrupted quite well & the lye will take care of the rest. The lye phase doesn't just basify the solution, also breaks down cell walls, that's partly why some teks recommend to let the solution soak overnight after adding the lye.

A cheap coffee grinder will do the job, just get a really fine sieve and keep putting the stuff that won't go through back into the grinder until it's dust.

Microwave lysis is much faster than freeze thaw if you don't feel like micronising & going through the freeze thaw BS.

You dont need an ultrafine powder. In most instances too fine a powder = lots of fine sediment that will pass through coffee filters & take forver to settle from the solution or cause emulsions.

The one exception to this rule i can think of off the top of my head is a tek like q21 where you make a basic paste with bark + CaOh.

Ok so I did not really get the process in step by step:

1.) put it in the Microwave OR in the freezer

2.) Smash it with a Hammer (?) (you didn't say this, if you don't do it, why would you do the microwave / freezer step ?)

3.) Break apart the smashed pieces with a Coffe Grinder



Questions:

- is this Microwave Thing also good for the MHRB ? Or only Harmala Seeds

- doesn't the Microwave also heat up the stuff a little and possibly destroy something ?

- are the Microwave Rays completely harmless to the DMT ?

For MHRB, I cut with secateurs into ~1cm chips, grind with a coffee grinder. You could add freeze/thawing after. If I freeze/thaw, I do so with a paste made with a small amount of water or water/vinegar.

For seeds, a rough grind with a coffee grinder is enough. Some people do not grind at all.

I have never used a hammer or microwave.

Ok well I have red that Freeze / Thaw stuff some times by now, and a question coming up was:

I thought: Freeze it, so it breaks easily when encountered with brute force - and when it's ice cold, just smash it as hard as you can - or use the coffee grinder - or use the mixer.

So in my opinion: make it cold to break it more easy.


But all those people just like you just said *3x Freeze / Thaw*. So freeze it cold - and then just thaw it ?? How does this help to bring it into finer pieces?
Because I understand it like this, that they put it in the freezer - put it out - and after it thawed they just put it back, 3 times. I don't get what this will help you.

And furthermore: If you already have your powdered fine material, then why Freeze (+ Thaw) it ?
