Quote:s it normal to get the solvent separating in just a minute?
... On the thread that I linked to it says it takes 20 minutes to see the two layers separated
You should be grateful

Quote:Also there is that thin layer of bark-water-lye solution that sits on top of the solvent layer and is quite annoying while trying to separate the two layers.
any way to avoid forming that layer?
Do an A/B instead and strenuously filter out all particulates.
Realistically, just leave that small emulsion layer in and repeat the pulls a few more times. Losses will be minimal.
You might want to look at getting a better extraction container, plastic is NOT GOOD.
“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
