Hi all this is my first STB extraction and I'm looking for some help.
I wanted to post this in the STB board but couldn't perhaps that's for teks only

I plan on following noman's Tek with the addition of salt from cybs salt Tek

I'm wondering if I should shred the bark or not?

The reason I was follow noman's Tek is to avoid shredding the bark

I have a coffee Bean grinder that worked wonders for making brown rice flour but it's very small and may take a long time and make a huge mess

Outside of this (and the addition of salt) I don't think there is any difference in the way I'm approaching this extraction from cybs Tek (skipping the acid part and going STB) compared to nomans I just wanted some outside opinions here before I get started.

I can't speak to any particular tek, but the more pulverized something is, the better for extractions or at the very least faster and more efficient.
I also have some experience destroying two electric coffee grinders with MHRB. The first one was destroyed by putting large chunks of MHRB straight in. The second one survived a bit longer because I utilized a traditional blender to break up the large pieces into a sort of fine shredded mulch before chopping it up finer in the coffee grinder. It did survive long enough to help pulverize 250g MHRB.
I think something like this might be appropriate for grinding MHRB;

If you're going stb check out Lazyman's tek. I hear it works fine with shredded (not powdered) bark. It's really simple too but from what I read if you get the timing of your pulls right it pulls out pretty much everything you want without having to turn bark to powder.

The rumor around town is that stb's are "inefficient" but I read a thread on another site where someone just started to mess around just to see what would happen and the Lazyman tek ended up getting all the target alkaloids out. You just have to find the sweet spot between letting things sit long enough but getting it pulled out before the yellow oil starts showing up.

Actually it may have been Q21's tek? I can't remember but use the same principle of the tek but make sure to use the ratios found in the FAQ.
