Capturing the Breakthrough Options

Hello friends,

Before I began to experiment with DMT, I had heard numerous people say that the experience is similar to a dream in that it slips away from memory so quickly. Now that I've had the experience of the breakthrough slipping away almost immediately upon return, I want to find a way to capture more of it. Emphasis on the word "more." I understand that the breakthrough can't every fully be captured, but I'd simply like to be able to recall more of it.

I have written about every experience I've had so far. But even writing about it seems too late to capture the vast, vast majority of the experience. In my last journal entry, I wrote "the mind cannot capture this experience." I do believe that the breakthrough is so far removed from ordinary reality that our mind simply cannot integrate or even remember the experience in terms of this reality. As McKenna has said, trying to apply language to the experience is like pouring water over a duck's back, it just rolls off.

All that being said, I'm curious whether someone with more experience than I has any reliable method for capturing or remembering more of the breakthrough experience. As far as I can tell, I can't seem to remember more than about one or two percent of it. This is acutely frustrating, but also serves to make me want to return ASAP to experience the impossible again.

Thanks in advance for your replies
