Hey, first post here. I used about 54g of MHRB and followed Cyb's tek to a T, yet I only yielded around .2g of dmt and I'm kind of disappointed. What are common errors that I shpuld look out for with my next extraction? Other people say the source I got it from yielded around 1% so I'm confused.

there are so many variables to consider and without a description of exactly what you did, it's hard to diagnose.

i'll just say that i had the same experience you did for my first two extractions. it was clear, after using different bark, that my initial bark was bunk.

when a tek as reliable as Cyb's is followed perfectly and the result is little or low yield, bad bark is almost always the culprit.

keep trying; it's worth it in the end.

Try to heat more and add another 20g or so of NaOH. Dont worry the NaOH wont destroy the dmt.
Then pull again.

Also another culprit is your freezer not being cold enough to drop all the DMT out of the Naptha.
Save the naptha and reuse it for other pulls so you dont loose any DMT

I know you said you followed the tek to a t, but you could get better feedback if you posted step by step everything you actually did so that other members more experienced in the tek can try and see if you did in fact follow it or perhaps deviated somehow by mistake although you thought you were following it. That being said, it is highly likely that you followed the precedures correctly and just have some bunk bark. I have seen the same tek yield less than .1% with some samples and 1.5% with others. Remember, we are not making anything, only extracting it. You can never pull alkaloids out of the solution that aren't already present.
