SWIM has been quite pleased with the results of his first extraction of DMT from Mimosa Hostilis. About a week ago, SWIM, constructed The Machine . The experience is quite intense, however, SWIM finds it hard to get past the first hit, because the smoke is so harsh. Also, for a little while afterwards, SWIM's lungs have a very "heavy" feel to them, as if SWIM has smoked something dangerous. SWIM doesnt get this feeling from smoking DMT using the sandwich method.

The article for constructing the machine calls for steel wool, however, SWIM could not find anything specifically called "Steel Wool" at the store, so he purchased this Scotch Brite Stainless Steel Scrubbing Pads. SWIM made sure to torch the steel before use. Common sense would say that this is the same thing as steel wool. However, SWIM really doesnt want to be smoking steel particles here.........

SWIM is working on a Wash/recrystallization to see if it is just the spice that is harsh.

That looks like proper steel wool to me. Ive used similar in glass steamroller that I think would provide the same experience as the machine. Its not too bad. It could be your spice but another cause for harshness is overheating or burning your stuff. Go ahead and clean your spice its fun to see fluffy white crystals... but try working on your technique too.
