Someone was researching DMT extraction tek's and was unhappy with how all of them seemed to call for the use of dangerous solvents, and that the only ones that could be done with safe reagents could only produce the salt form of DMT (or a sticky, impure freebase). So, this person had an idea:
What if someone did a STB extraction of DMT (say, from MHRB) using d-limonene as a solvent. Then, instead of trying to evap the limo or extract it with acid, the person put it in the freezer. Would the DMT freebase then precipitate, as it does from naptha? The freezing point of d-limonene is about -72 C, so it seems like it should be possible... Or is DMT too soluble in d-limonene?
