Instant Ayahuasca preperation question Options

I have been reading up on the 'Instant Ayahuasca' tek for extracting a DMT/MAOI mix that can easily be added to liquids or ingested as is.

My questions have to do with the Caapi vine and how one should go about breaking it down. I suppose it would be quite similar to breaking down MHRB, if MHRB flour wasn't available.
Also, I have seen Caapi alkaloid extracts for sale around the internet and was curious if these products would be favorable to use.

I was thinking that if the Caapi alkaloid extract were a viable option, one could just toss it into the MHRB flour as he/she covers the plant matter with ethanol to soak.
The product information says that it contains 1g of extract equivalent to 200g of Caapi vine. At a ratio of 40g Caapi/15g MHRB we can use 1g Caapi extract/75g MHRB to produce 5 suggested doses.

Any ideas or suggestions?
Perhaps a trial run is necessary...

These extracts are fine. I don't know about all extracts available, but i often use a standardized extract. They have the same alkaloid content and often it's even better than just using vine because they are rid of all the tannins for wich you would normally use an egg-white tek wich is complicated.

This all means no purging and stomach discomfort.

You can use these extracts in powder form. There is one way to test the quality of an extract in advance: if you put a bit of it on your tongue, it should leave a numb feeling there, a bit of a local anestheatic feeling. This means that there's enough THH present in it.

two things: Dont throw harmalas/caapi extracts in alcohol. Harmalas seem to break down/react into some red gooey product when dissolved in alcohol and evaporated, maybe some oxides, but point is, not much is known about the psychoactivity and general pharmacology of this substance.. So unless you want to be the one to test and find out, better to keep the extract/harmalas and not throw in alcohol, but rather just put it in some orange juice and drink before or together with your already alcohol-less mimosa.

and the other thing, a little side comment to polytrip's post, SWIM can get purging and stomach discomfort even with pure dmt and pure harmalas, but it is noticeably different and less intense (the purge/nausea, not the effect) than real ayahuasca.

Thanks guys Very happy

I hadn't considered the nausea factor in using plant matter, but it makes perfect sense now that it has been mentioned. Nevertheless, I am still left with the feeling that it really comes down to each person and their stomach to decide how the digestion will go.

I was planning on preparing the MAOI extract with the purged (alcohol-less) MHRB extract into doses ready for consumption. It is not surprising that the alcohol causes some change in the end product, especially after a two-four week soak.

just a note, the alcohol evaporation changes the end product only of the harmalas from caapi or rue, not in the alkaloids of MHRB... Those you can make without a problem Smile
