Quote:"Here's the sum up:
-Mix Mimosa powder with excess sodium carbonate, add water to make a paste, spread it in a wide dish and let it dry.
-3x pulls with 95% ethanol, filter the pulls
- Evaporate the ethanol
- Redissolved reddish/brownish wax in warm white vinegar, filter it.
- Mix the vinegar with excess sodium carb, spread it on a plate and let it dry
- Pull with ethanol again, filter, evap"
I may be completely off-base and will follow the original steps and try mine after. This would be my first extraction but have been reading all the techniques for a while.
Why perform the first two 3 steps; wouldn't it work the same by following Q21Q21's dry tek and just replace the d-Limonene with alcohol to pull? I may be completely wrong but I don't understand why first pull the from the base solution then preform a/b after. Is the a/b just to clean up the wax material?
My understanding of how to preform it
- boil powdered bark in water/vinegar (can you boil in just vinegar w/o water?)
- filter
- add excess lime until a thick paste and let it dry?
- pull with ethanol, filter again, evap
- repeat?
Another question would this work the same with caapi and kratom?
gibran2's Caapi extract is looks pretty easy and doesn't require a solvent but was just wondering. I have a bit of material so might just experiment myself.
EDIT:
I saw that someone extracted from caapi and got around 2% goo so I may just go with gibran2's tek. Any idea on kratom with this tek will probably try soon with 50g.
