Hello Nexus.

It was my understanding that the whole point of freeze precipitation was to recycle the Naptha. A while back I tried the aforementioned method with little success (through lack of knowledge AND patience) but yesterday I thought I'd go back and try it again.

The yield was good, probably a similar amount that I get from my normal evaporation method but it looks different. It is yet to be tried, I'm not in the right mental state to be Psychonaughting but it has me wondering which colour you (the experts of Nexus) are familiar with?

Same product, top image under kitchen lighting, bottom image by the window.

On the left, a collection of DMT from evaporating naptha.
On the right, the first pull from freeze precipitation.

Same tek was used on both. I can only come to the conclusion that the Naptha (Ronsonol) is leaving residue behind when evaporating? Though I have tried leaving fresh, clean Naptha in a bowl and evaporating and didn't see anything left.

Your opinions and advice is most welcome!

I can't see your pictures Jaffster but I think the general consensus is yellow or oily is not necessarily bad unless it's caused by solvent getting caught in the final product. Yellowness might be caused by natural plants oils that don't cause any harm or by impurities such as DMT-oxide or NMT that add their own specific interest to the experience.

There is however something very satisfying about producing your own fluffy white crystals and knowing you've got it close on 100% pure.

In all of reality there are not two. There is just the one thing. And I am that.
