I have often wondered if DMT happened to be made legal. Do you think we would start industrial sized extractions? Could you imagine what such a thing may look like or how it would be done? I find it fascinating watching youtube videos on our industrial production as a lot of people don't see the odds and ends behind the produced goods in the supermarket. https://www.youtube.com/results?q=how+it%27s+made

Unlikely, I don't think the demand would be high enough to warrant industrial-scale extractions for something as esoteric as DMT. I don't think it should be sold to the average consumer either - you should have to take a course on safety (like a driver's ed) in order to purchase psychedelics.
They are already ramping up industrial-scale cannabis extractions in legal states (for concentrates, edibles), but that has a much broader appeal.

I agree with Arcologist. A safety course on psychedelics would be necessary. So many of he horror stories on psychoactive substances that you hear about are due to a lack of knowledge and experience. People aren't aware of the lag time between ingestion and effect of certain substances cause inexperienced people to ingest more of a substance leading to overdose or bizarre behavior.

^^What you guys said. In case if it would happen I doubt anyone will like the idea of messing with extraction. Most probably on industrial scale it would be synthesis from chemical reagents.

Then these huge room sized cans that swirl the naphtha around and then pipe it off into a huge freezer that then recycles the naphtha.
