So I cooked up some epsom salt at 390F for a few hours and now I've dropped it into my 90 percent IPA. I can just leave it in there a few days and it'll soak up the water, right? Or should I shake it up?

Also: I've done another Manske on some Harmalas I had extracted so that I can freebase with sodium carbonate for a foodsafe freebase product and save some salt crystals for tea. At the bottom of my manske there was a layer of dark brown stuff rather than nice tan crystals. Didn't even look crystally. I just tried to keep it out as best as I could. Did I toss some Harmine or Harmaline or was that junk as it looked?
