Need a little help with changa concerning harmala ratios Options

Hi I just finished a caapi vine harmala extraction, and I'm planning to make some changa.
I have some blue lotus, spice, harmala, peppermint.
I'm fairly new to this, I've had a couple breakthroughs.
I want to make a mix that is fairly weak, as I don't need much. (Last breakthrough was35mg)

Just looking for any advise, specifically on how much harmala to add?
And also if I can mix this all up in 99% ISO alcohol?

Any helps much appreciated
Thanks 😁

the ratio you need is personal preference and can only be found by trial and error.

there is alot of info on peoples prefered ration so have a look through the changa subforum for some inspiration. start low on the build up.

it's all in your mind, but what's your mind???

Yea I'm having a read now.
Can't find anything on dissolving with ISO though. Will it be cool?

Thanks a lot btw 😉

Can't find anything about dissolving with iso? There is a whole stickied thread on it and then some. The 3 most common solvents to dissolve harmalas and make changa are (in no particular order):

99% Iso
95% drinkable grain ethanol (Everclear)
Acetone

I suggest going to the changa section and reading through the stickies. Mainly the first 3 and the 5th one. The information is all there. The threads are long but it is best to be well educated on the matter before attempting anything that involves potentially dangerous solvents.

Hope this helps

Have a nice day!

I would suggest Ethanol for dissolving harmalas. I've used Isopropyl but it doesn't dissolve harmalas as well.

A good starting point in terms of ratios would be something like:

1 gram DMT
250mg freebase harmalas
1 gram herbs

Some people (myself included) are really sensitive to harmalas. I once made a changa blend with 1:1 DMT:Harmalas and it was waaay too heavy on the harmalas. So as was said, personal preference Thumbs up

Yes indeed! I have tested Iso and everclear in a side by side comparison and ethanol was the winner! My girlfriend seems to be quite sensitive to harmalas as well...at least more so than me so I usually go with anywhere from 250mg-500mg of freebase harmalas and keeping the rest of the ratios mentioned above the same. If you have the time, definitely play around with the ratios...when you find your sweet spot, you will know it!

Edit: DCM and methanol are superior to any of the above mentioned solvents but not everyone has access to such chemicals. Here is a quote from Endlessness:

Drinking/grain ethanol will work better than acetone and IPA. Maybe vodka would work, dont know if it would leave a taste (for changa or whatever). Ethanol is not the best but quite better than acetone or IPA. The best solvents for harmalas are more toxic, like methanol and DCM. If you use them, make sure its properly dry before using (better let it soak again in some non denatured ethanol and let it air dry again for many hours to help getting rid of traces of those solvents)

I agree completely. My first batch was a 1:1:1 DMT:harmalas:herbs (as suggested in the "art of changa" thread), and I actually experienced "flu" like symptoms from it. I find using harmalas a quarter the weight of DMT to be much better for me personally. So like what was previously said, 250mg harmalas for for 1 gram of DMT seems to be my sweet spot.

I searched threads on this the other day and found a guy who thought 250mg harmalas was even too much and made 100mg to 1 gram dmt.

Like you say, if you want to make it week you could try 100mg harmala and 500mg or 750mg of dmt per 1 gram of leaf. This 250mg to 1g ratio is for hard heads who go straight sprinting off the diving board, freefalling in to a portal to another reality. Twisted Evil

I don't blast off too often myself but I find the 1-1-1 ratio good for an ayahuasca analog type effect.

Yep definitely personal pref.

Just finished smoking my first Changa mix, 1:1:1 ratio.

I don't smoke (cigarettes, weed ect.) so my lungs struggled to smoke the extra leaf and Harmalas.

I will be trying double the DMT to leaf ratio next. That's what i love about Changa it's so adaptable. Thumbs up

Just thought i would share...

Peace and love
