How important is acidification during extraction from phalaris? Options

After learning about simpler method of extracting DMT using Lazytek which skips acidification step, saves time and lye. For that reason this method was used to extract spice from p. brachytachys leaves. I thought if basification is used alone you get just freebase DMT insoluble particles that probably even don't get out of leaves (or MHRB). So maybe acidification worth performing?

I don't know if an STB is the way to go with grasses.
Most people go a/b with phalaris because it is much cleaner & grasses tend to yield ALOT of fats & a low concentration of spice.

If you go STB, your probably going to end up doing alot of work to cleanup the final product to get a pure product. Much more than you would if you did a few acid boils.

I may be wrong, i`m far from an expert on grass extractions, I have never worked with grasses but have done plenty of reading over the years & that is what I took out of all I read being a/b extractions.

Someone else may chime in with more experience & have more to offer on this subject & a second opinion is probably needed.

you may want to read this It you havn`t yet.
The post is a pdf download of fourthripleys extraction method on grasses & it looks as if he yielded some nice crystals.

Also, you may want to change the title of your thread to something mentioning phalaris. It's more likely to catch the attention of those here who have experience working with grasses & can help out Thumbs up

Not sure if there is big difference between MHRB and phalaris. Yes phalaris may contain more fat, maybe more or less dmt. If freeze precipation is used oil doesn't matter anyway and maybe it isn't too bad to smoke? If acidification helps to get greater yelds it's worth to do it. Wouldn't be good to throw away grass that may contain goodies.

It would be very difficult to do an extraction on phalaris without acidifying. There is a ridiculous amount of chlorophyll that needs to be removed on the acid cooking stage.
