Swim noticed something very weird. During his first experiences, he had a very high heart rate and experienced a very intense rush. It seems to have vanished over the time. He always thought it to be a physical sideeffect of the spice, but now he wonders if the increased heart rate is nothing but psychosomatic.

My swim has noticed the same thing. He wonders if it is because of using a different vendor for his mhrb or if it is a change in him. He used to experience an initial very intense blastoff, but now he experiences a very slow meld into the spice world. Interesting.

Me too, I've not had the really fast heart rate for a long time now.

The whole "veil" thing too, there's no actual breakthrough period for me anymore, just ramping up, then I'm thereShocked ...or I'm not.Confused

I have sort of noticed this as well..the onset seems slower...like after my first big hit, even 30 seconds later I can feel next to nothing..but 2 minutes later it's fully on..I still get a rapid heartbeat, but a slower smoother transition..it's really weird, and always makes me think my spice is bunk at first. I used to feel it hitting hard and have visuals starting before I even let my hit out..but not anymore.
Long live the unwoke.

So true. I've actually had an experience when the anxiety was making my heart beat soooo fast, but after the spice came it slowed down more and more every beat. It was so amazing. Also it was my best experience with the spice ever. A birds eye view of a beach in hyperspace... mmmmm.

If I dose high my heart goes crazy though... that's 40-50mg... usually I just use 20-30mg. I feel really hot with high doses too. I suppose this is to be expected of any substance.

SWIM also hasn't experienced that intense HOLY SHIT!!! rush in awhile, but he proposes that that is because he mentally prepares himself before blasting off. Breaking down all mental barriers possible, letting himself be a completely blank slate. Before SWIM started doing this 'ritual', he'd always get that flying at the speed of light feeling throughout his entire body. Now, getting 'there' is an easygoing, integrated process that he greatly enjoys... but that is because he's conditioned himself to such a response, he's willing to bet.

yeah in general with experience one's body/mind can get somehow prepared for the dmt rush and diminish the anxiety and fast heart rate common with first times....

BUT... Take a long break and it definitely comes back again, at least for SWIM. Usually what SWIM does after long breaks (most times actually, he rarely does it these days) is to first take one puff or something, and get the somatic effects/anxiety again, remember how it goes.. Then after an hour he goes again full blast, and then he can go more smoothly.
