I asked this question in the "Changa" section but I think it might be more appropriate in this section.
I have a questions regarding information in Olys post (https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=46839) about a 10x enriched leaf.
His tek says to simply boil 10 grams of caapi leaves for a couple of hours, strain plant material, evaporate the liquid and collect powder.
Does this powder have any harmalas?
Are the harmalas even soluble in water?
I'd like to skip doing an A/B extraction of harmalas if possible but my gut intuition is telling me that this type of extract wouldn't have any harmalas present.
Also if anyone has the pKa values for these harmalas that would be helpful.
Thanks!!

Yes , the powder will contain harmalas.
(Ayahuasca is made with water and contains the harmalas...)

Are you asking if Olympus is lying? I don't think he is.
Although, feel free to add some acid (vinegar for instance) to the water. Harmalas will move more quickly and readily to the water.
You will find chemical details about harmalas

I'm definitely not asking if he's lying! I was just verifying the validity of the tek. Considering its not on the wiki or anything.
Another question: Are the harmalas in salt form then? Can you even smoke harmala salts?
Thanks guys!!
