If the bark is very old and not stored properly it might be a good Idea to add zinc dust to the acidifying step.
The goo from acacia is usually just plant oils and/or nmt which prefers to be an oil in most instances.
As far as I've read when you re-crystallize the orange liquid that sits at the bottom of the naptha is DMT n oxide.
Although how did it get there in the first place if it is not soluble in naptha? unless it oxidised post doing the naptha pulls.
I would love to see a side by side of the addition of zinc.
