Toking with Terence - Unseen McKenna footage [2015 HD] Options

'Tokes with Terence' is a continuation of the Terence McKenna 2012 OmniBus movie series
wherein previously unseen footage of Terence and the author are revealed. In this first of
the TMOM2015 series, which will be loosely based on my travels as described in the gonzo
autobiography; "Journey to Everywhere", Terence guides the tribe South, toking it up on the
way. Most of this footage has never aired before. Enjoy!

Thanks for the unseen footage Thumbs up

I have to say I found the various camera filters and audio modulations very distracting. I'd suggest easing up a bit on the effects next time.

I strongly agree.

I would love if you made all of this footage and that from the Omnibus series available raw; unedited.

Ahh, the good ol' days. I was one of the dudes in the video, filmed when Terence was invited to Rustlers Valley. Was round about 95 or 96. This original footage without the effects may still be found somewhere on youtube.

yeh, my original footage is 'somewhere' online but in 320x240..this is in 1280x720, a significant improvement. btw, there are no audio filters on this clip...that's original sound only tweaked for sound floor and vox clarity, otherwise that's how it came down.
Basically we treat the footage as we get it..some of it is really bad, and then the effects
have to be extreme, like the first part if the clip when it's in blue/grey, is really washed
out, but when the footage is excellent, like during the walk, we've just added some colour
and messed with the light, no 'effects', per se. err..glad you ahh..enjoyed it?

clips, btw..

I'm very grateful for all the previously unseen footage you've made available. Smile I was just under the impression that, including the Omnibus videos, it was all decent footage heavily laden with effects that detracted from the experience...which was really irritating. It felt like....perhaps how a coffee purist would feel if someone brought them the last pot of coffee on earth but not before dumping a bunch of cream and sugar into it.

But it's all good Smile Much appreciation for putting your energy into making this footage available for everyone to see.

Thanks for understanding that the original footage is derived from old betacam sp oxide
tape that get's worse and worse as the shoot progresses over the 8 day period at Rustlers
Valley because the one cam's tape heads were on the way out...besides that, the other two
cameras were of a different type, one was VHS, which is even worse...I'll make the purist
the first coffee from the new crop, even though Albert Hofmann once said that the pursuit of
perfection is a wasted task...

For sure, no need for perfection, I just thought there was excellent quality footage hidden behind all the effects. My mistake for assuming so, and I thank you again and wish you the best!

We actually met earlier in CT in '94, I think you were living in Rondebosch. I was with a few mates, we hooked up at your house and then drove down around the Peninsula looking for UFO's. Shocked Laughing

I was at Rustler's to ostensibly assist M.A. with his effort to video Terence. He made it possible for me to attend.

cool...I rode with M.A. today. we're both keen motor-psychologists..
In fact M.A. is credited in Cognition Factor due to the fact that
he helped me with some of the shoots, and also donated all the footage
he shot to the movie, so thank you for assisting him!

Great raw footage. Observing Mckenna's mind is quite intriguing and inspiring. Thanks for these.

Visual language is the theme of this unique, trippy clip, cooked up to get the psychedelic
juices flowing. Take a ride in the Headspace time machine with Terence and Dennis McKenna,
Ralph Abraham and Rupert Sheldrake.
