Hello

It is my first time with Acacia. I begun with powdered 200g. My tek is Max ion.
I am in the middle of pulls on base solution. It stood all night. Now there is some sandy-gray-white dust like sediment. It is mostly swimming on the surface of base layer, but also swims in streaks within the solvent layer. I never spotted anything like this before, till now I was working with mimosa. Please can you help me to understand what is it?
I wonder is it fats, but I have already done defatting?

Life is Love expressed in infinite ways.
Love is oneness and one is all.

Ego cogito, ego erro, cor sict. - I think, I mistake, soul knows.
If I am that which is nothing that exist but receives existence, what can happen to me, even if there will be no existence - that will be my purity.

What sort of volume are you working with?

For example if you do a 250 gram extraction and evaporate the solution down to ~650-700ml then you'll have freebase fall out of suspension. In a wine bottle this layer might be as thick as 3/10th's of an inch for myself. I've found that pulling only the solvent results in a much cleaner extraction. Even if some of this precipitate stays saturated with solvent, then leave that portion of the solvent layer. Continued pulls will reduce the precipitate's volume. It always seems to happen whenever I shake the bottle vigorously as on might do with salad dressing. The precipitate then floats up out of the aqueous phase as the emulsion resolves.

I get this weird almost emulsion like layer with acacia. Its not emulsion, just floats between the layers like it. It happens with cactus too when it's not filtered well.

I think it is just material that is drawn to the solvent but not soluble or very slightly soluble. Nmt, plant fats, etc.

I did notice it was not there one day, but the next day after leaving solvent sit in a warm heat bath for a long period of time it showed up, but i shook violently & let the emulsion separate before that, so it may also be from shaking too hard.

Just managed to get rid of said layer with a heat bath.
It did not return upon cooling so it did not go into the solvent.

This hasn't worked for me with jars but this time i'm using a 1L round bottom flask & it worked well. Maybe due to the flask being wider rather than tall & being more completely submerged in the heat bath.
