Caapi/THH extraction quick question. Im not tring to isolate THH, just want to make sure i dont wash it away. So my question is dose the THH stay with the harmals threw out the typical extraction process. Acid boild, filter, pricp with sodium carbonate, manske, or is there some other process that i need to consider? The other threads here mostly talked about isolating THH, and wasn't all that clear, thanks. I Am Not Someone Who Isn't Me!

The other threads here mostly talked about isolating THH, and wasn't all that clear, thanks. There is speculation that 1. Thh is not even found naturally in the vine, it is a byproduct of heat & reactions between the alkaloids, acids, etc. in the palnt matter created during the brewing process 2. I'm not sure the validity of this but i read someone saying thh isn't extracted with manske. Someone more knowledgable may chime in with better info.

Maybe THH.HCl doesn't precipitate as easily as harmaline/harmine.HCl when salting with NaCl? Or that's what I've read. I tried the Manske procedure once on some tentative THH freebase and indeed it seems to take much longer to form crystals.

I've got a very small amount of thh, & a local lab i've run across has synthetic harmine, harmaline, & i believe thh they sell for research. The price may be a bit high i havn't looked back into it, but harmalas are not controlled here & i'd be interested in doing some research of my own when i have availablr funds.

Days instead of hours.
Sorry, no exact data. It was part of a very casual attempt at making THH. I have yet to redo it properly.
