I have been searching and can't find any results directly relating the use of The Herbal Percolator during a standard A/B MHRB extraction.

It seems that 140 degree water of pH 2-4 (Phosphoric, Acetic or Citric) run through The Herbal Percolator would be a very successful and efficient way to extract DMT salts from MHRB.

It seems like not only should there be fewer contaminants in the mix but the final yield should be much higher since the percolation method extracts more entirely.

Is using The Herbal Percolator a cleaner more effective way of obtaining alkaloids from MHRB for extraction or is there some other unforeseen problem?

yes its a good question cosmic.. Dagger will probably know more about it. In any case I think the odds are on your side, I would guess it can work perfect in the acid step. Cant see any problem, as long as the filter is not too tightly packed on the narrow part in the case of powdered material..

The goal is to use phosphoric acid + water through the percolator for pulling alkaloids from MHRB.

Food grade d-Limonene will be used as the solvent.

Lye will be used for the base as I have no toxicity concerns with it.

Hopefully will be a good run!

I am thinking about doing this process with near to powdered mimosa and acidified water, than raise the pH of the resulting tea with lye and use naphta as solvent. Anyone can give me some tips about that? what pH and temperature should the water be to get the most of the dmt from the bark? Anyone have some experience with a similar situation?
