(Hsiang Si Shu) Poem (..we think)

It was on an island near China, late one moonless night,
That the Simorgh first appeared to mortal sight –
He let a feather float down through the air,
And rumours of it's fame spread everywhere

(exerpt from Conference of Birds)

...found on the innernet,
alL credits to Fariduddin Attar

(note: the Simorgh is a mythical bird, composed of parts from various animals, it lives on the mythical "mighty haoma" tree which grows on an island in the great ocean Vourukasha....)

Great

I do love those poems they remind me of my time in Iran and the story of the birds that went out to try and find simorgh.

Take care
