Cactus strains and their effects Options

I've started investigating different strains of cactus and I've been searching through some large cactus catalogues. I'm particulary interested in pachanoi, specifically for it's empathic effects. Turning up one that's decently potent appears to be extra tricky. From reading around, the two strains I've found that people seem to confirm as potent are Torres & Torres and Kimnach. When I looked into these further I could only find arguments and confusion about weather these are actually a form of pachanoi or peruvian torch. I get the impression that this type of dissagrement over cactus is more common than not.

What I really care about is if these strains resemble pachanoi in their effects, so I was wondering if there might happen to be anyone here who has tried any of these out? Also, I was wondering about the SS02 bridgesii? I take it that's it's a bridgesoid of unclear origin, and I'm curious how bridgesii like the effects are.

My recommendation is to start collecting them, and figure out potency later Smile

I have some bridge, some torch, and the Pedro. The potency does vary, as well as the types of alkaloids present. The species of Pedro that I have had produced more dreamy effects, where the bridge produces stimulating effects.

There is a lot of contradictory information about cacti - that's why I decided to find a little bit of each species and see where that leads me.

I'm not knowledgeable about which clones have the most content.

Good luck!
Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.

Yes, this going to be a very long term project. The first thing I did was to buy some bridgesii from a certain vendor, and then try them out. They ended up being fairly potent, but they were missing any sort of empathy effects that I was hoping for. They were still pretty good, so I order some more cuttings from the same vendor. It took an entire summer to get them rooted, and another full summer to grow them to a decent size. When I finally tried out they were almost completely inactive.

Now I want to do everything I can to avoid this in the future. The only thing I can figure with that last group of cactus, is that it spine pattern isn't completely bridgesii like, but they look like bridgesii in every other way.
