Apparently he had been fighting severe depression and the articles i read pointed to suicide.

This is a sad day.

I haven't been sad about hearing about a fallen celebrity since George Harrison, until hearing about this.

RIP

Crying or very sad Probably my favorite actor. Also, his stand-up act was brilliant. Too sad.

RIP, Pan the man.

i'm an admitted sucker for decent chick flicks, and What Dreams May Come was one of the best.

RIP Robin Williams.

I wonder if he ever tried Aya for his depression?
...Truly sad

Good question...
I remember he did kind-of admit to trying LSD (at least insinuated it), so I wouldn't be shocked if he had tried it before, maybe not for depression.

His insinuation was during a stand-up act in which he referenced Dock Ellis pitching a no-hitter while on LSD.

I think that it is a great shame but perhaps the article below points to a positive aspect to Robin"s untimely death which may result in humanity coming together through a shared appreciation of Hollywood blockbusters.

We are humans like you..... Why shouldn"t we see Jumanji?

You think that's a "chick flick"? Really? Guess I'm a chick.
Fear, belief, love phenomena that determined the course of our lives. These forces begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. We cross and recross our old paths like figure skaters; our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. Out of nowhere "What Dreams May Come" appeared strongly on my mind the evening before I heard about his death and I watched it a few nights ago. Visually stunning film and all the more interesting given the subject matter, such as death, suicide and redemption of the soul. I'm also curious whether if he'd encountered ayahuasca whether it could have helped him at all. Sweet dreams, Robin.
