Could You guys describe with experiences with this combo?

Anybody ever add rue or caapi to the mix (psilohuasca/amanita combo)?

Be patient.. someone will respond. Amanita and psilocybe are interesting combinations. I don't think I've seen anyone on the Nexus regarding this combo. If you get no responses, caution yourself and be safe. How do you plan to proceed in regards to psilohuasca / amanita combo?
'What's going to happen?' 'Something wonderful.'

As both are extremely powerful (& quite different) Allies, the prudent explorer would want to be very familiar with each on their own terms, before attempting any combo.

I only have a modest amount of experience with Amanita, but of high quality.
I respect it immensely.
Unlike Psilocybe, it will not entertain just anyone who knocks on its door... it really takes a lot of patience, dedication, & subtlety to develop a strong relationship with this teacher.

Frankly, this combo does not appeal to me... both are so rich & complex on their own, I wonder what would be the purpose ? Mere novelty ?
If you want it stronger, take more.

But then I treat my relationships with Plants & Fungi much like my relationships with humans... would you hop into bed with 2 other people who you don't know, & who don't know each other ? It might turn out OK, but it could also be an awkward mess.

Also, mixing MAOI's with Amanita may be risky - proceed with utmost caution.

It takes a special person to like Amanitas without an maoi. I imagine it would take an even more special person to like amanita with an maoi.

Have you tried them?

i guess you're asking me - yes i've had amanita, about a dozen times.
both Siberian & self-picked Washington state specimens.
the most i've taken is 4-5 grams dried, as tea.
i am taking it slow with this complex, magickal ally.

if you enjoy maoi's with amanita, don't let me stop you - it just sounds a lil queasy to me personally, & uncommon maoi combinations should be approached cautiously as a rule.

my experiences have been very diverse. i can easily see how some people might write it off even after many tries.

my 1st time was incredible, with some siberian baby caps. it had lsd's lightning bolt of hyper-lucidity mixed with the terrifyingly beautiful void of 5-meo-dmt, with plenty of spirit/entity action as the frosting on the cake.

other times at the same dose (2.5 g dried - i tend to be sensitive to these things) have just been like a mild dissociative/hypnotic.

on about 3.5g freshly dried, on a hike deep in Washington's North Cascades, i watched all reality around me become the thinnest shell of a facade, and behind it the Organic Light that is the true reality made itself apparent... tendrils of this sentient, white-rainbow Light entered my feet and flooded every cell in my body until there was nothing left but pure LIGHT.

symptoms have been mild nausea, easily remedied with cannabis,
and on one occasion very blurred vision that persisted for a few hours (didn't like that at all).

here's a picture i drew of how Amanita looks to me:

Hey Blue Lunar, my question was not directed at you, but it is certainly ok to answer!

I was mainly asking maranello if he likes Amanita because I've seen him ask a few times about combining Amanita and rue. I was curious if he has tried amanita without rue... if he does, then he could possibly enjoy it with rue.

I like Amanitas if I am in the right mood. I've had a decent bit of experience with Muscimol, but I've never felt the need to turn up the potential with rue.

Granted.... I found pounds upon pounds of them this year. If an individual only has a limited supply of the mushroom, they may entertain using a smaller amount of dried mushroom material and seeing if the rue can boost up the potential. Not something I'm interested in, but i'm sure its been done.

I've tried them a few times, all from the same batch, to no avail. Either it just didn't want me to get the experience or it was a really bad batch (from online and they looked all old and brown). I tried low and high doses with no results..

I, too, wonder about them being a bad batch. It kind of sounds like you may have been ripped off.

Do you live in an area where the grow naturally?

they can be found in Northern California, but much less plentifully than in Oregon or Washington.

the color of the dried caps should be coppery to dark red, with a metallic sheen.

Washington and Oregon get all the good shrooms! I can't complain though. I get good blessings when it comes to finding mushrooms.

Start looking up the various types of A. muscaria. There are quite a few. They all have very similar characteristics, but slightly different colored caps. You can probably check google and see if they grow in the part of the state you live in. Then research habitat and season.
