First timer: my extraction plan; does everything look alright? Options

Below are some instructions I compiled for myself based on a couple guides I read. I've never done any kind of extraction before and I know nothing about chemistry so keep in mind I want to make this process as simple as possible. Are there any important changes that need to be made to my guide?

1. Wash an empty jug/bottle thoroughly.
2. Funnel 200 ml of tap water into the bottle. Add a couple drops of vinegar.
3. Powder the 20 g of Acacia Confusa bark with the blender. It helps to cut the bark into small pieces first.
4. Funnel 20 g of powdered bark into bottle and give it a vigorous shake.
5. Store in dark area at room temperature for 24 hours; shake ever 4-6 hours. During this time the DMT salt will migrate from the bark into the water.
6. Funnel 50 ml of lighter fluid (naphtha) into bottle
7. Shake solution 4-6 minutes. Begin by shaking slowly and gauge pressure buildup
8. Put bottle in bucket of 140 f / 60 c degree water for 30 – 60 minutes
9. Remove top layer of lighter fluid. Use a syringe or dropper or turkey baster to draw out the top layer. This step is a non polar wash which removes primary contaminates.
10. Repeat steps 6-9 twice
11. Add 10 g of lye into a container with a little water and stir until all the lye is dissolved. Add it very gradually to bottle with a fuel. Adding the lye converts DMT salt to freebase. its really important to pour the lye gradually
12. Shake bottle until it turns from dark red to dark black
13. Funnel 50 ml of lighter fluid into bottle. Freebase DMT is insoluble in water (polar solvent), but it is soluble in lighter fluid (non-polar solvent).
14. Place bottle in another bucket of hot water for 30 minutes
15. Shake bottle 2-4 minutes without creating froth. The froth is called emulsions and it’s the thing most likely to fuck up the procedure.
16. Place solution in hot water for 1-2 hours or however long it takes the 2 layers to separate
17. Remove the top layer of lighter fluid and keep in glass bottle. This is your DMT containing concoction. The DMT molecules migrate into the lighter fluid which separates from the water.
18. Repeat steps 13 – 17 five more times.
19. Pour removed lighter fluid liquid into glass baking dish. Make sure no soupy dark liquid is in the solvent
20. Place baking dish in the freezer for 24 – 72 hours. At freezing temperature the DMT is insoluble in lighter fluid and will precipitate out.
21. Remove any remaining solvent with dropper / syringe without removing white crystal. Turn up air conditioner before removing from freezer and pour the crystals into a glass container and place it in front of a fan in a dark area for DMT to dry. Keep the fan on it until it doesn’t smell like lighter fluid and then leave it another hour after that.
22. Use razor blade to scrape crystals. Expected yield: 100mg

Look a defat isn't needed on such a small scale extraction !! Btw IMHO just follow Cybs hybrid salt TEK !!

It's first timer friendly it's got photos to show the process and you won't be dissappointed !! Thumbs up

Totally agree, follow Cybs salt tek. Do 50g of bark too, if you do choose to do Cybs just to stay in sync with all of the numbers.

Its very easy, very straight forward. Dont shake, just roll and twist. Shaking could cause foaming/emulsions. If you roll and twist, you wont have to worry about that. If you do face an emulsion, add lye and it should settle. I typically roll and twist, and then Ill keep the bottle upside down to let the naptha pass thru from end to end, and then upright the bottle and let the naptha pass end to end again.

You dont need to HEAT anything though and Cyb says this somewhere, just keep everything warm. Dont try to boil anything, and act quick and dont let everything sit too long because thats when you get bark fat and oils coming along for the ride.

When it comes to the freeze precip stage, do 3-5 pulls of 50ml each avoiding the basified dark layer in the mixing jar. At all costs, do not suck up any particles of that dark layer. You wont be able to get every drop of naptha likely though if you use a baster or glass pipette, there will always be a slight layer on top of naptha that you just cant pull up because youll disturb the basified dark layer. Try to use a skinny, long bottle or a bottle that tapers at the top, not a fat wide bottle like a mason jar. Its easier to get more of the naphtha out of a skinny long bottle out into your freeze precip dishes than one that displaces the naptha over a wide area.

Use several shallow glass baking dishes. Each pull, give its own dish to. The less fluid per dish, the better. The quicker you get your dishes into the freezer the better also, because youll have less goo'ing. But, the slower you cool your dishes, the larger crystals youll have. I usually give pull 1 and 2 their own dish, and 3-5 Ill mix because theres less saturation toward the end.
