Hey, I have a few questions relating to the rue + mimosa combo
Is it a good idea to cook the rue and mimosa together and just drink it that way?
Or cook them separately and then just combine the two teas into one and drink it like that?
Is it best to wait 30 minutes after drinking the rue to dose the mimosa tea?

I don't have any experience with this, but from what I have read, you should drink the Rue or MAOI about an hour before. From the FAQ Quote:The MAOI containing plant (banisteriopsis caapi vine or syrian rue) can be boiled together with the DMT containing plant (psychotria viridis or mimosa hostilis, or just add some extracted dmt in appropriate dosage to the caapi/rue brew), but specially if its the first time with a particular plant batch, its recommended to brew separately the two, and first find out the potency of the plant by drinking first a small amount.

Drink the Rue separately. Wait till you can feel the effects of the harmaline (dreaminess/relaxed) before you ingest the Mimosa. I've had success mixing the ingredients with Fruit Juice and swallowing- however they must be in powder form and the effects last much longer than necessary! I have too limited experience with ayahuasca to be able to differentiate the effects. Is the feeling of the rue started to take effect that warm feeling in the stomach that something is going on there? (different from the nausea)
And I do know the strength of my batch.

I drink them a couple minutes apart without any problems. I could drink them at the same time and it will still work (that's pretty much how aya is always drank btw), but I figure why not give the MAOI a bit of a head start. An hour is overkill IMO but maybe some really do need that long, and then perhaps in others that might even be a complete misfire. Everyone metabolizes things pretty differently. Play around and see what works for you. It's good to brew enough for several doses. You can brew them together if you want, but I would let the sediment drop out of the brew overnight (in the fridge) before drinking it. I usually brew enough rue and mimosa to last several weeks, and often drink some rue on its own, so I prefer to brew them separately. Plus then you can easily control the amounts of each when dosing.

By drinking it. Rue and mimosa don't seem to vary much in strength, so I wouldn't worry about that (so long as it actually is mimosa hostilis)

Sounds good, I'll just play around with it. So far what I've done every time is dose the mimosa 20-30 minutes after the Rue.
And I've heard of Mimosa being as weak as 10g not doing anything while mine is strong enough to see Entities with open eyes on 5g.

If it's weak at 10g that person most likely either isn't taking enough harmalas to activate it at all, or doesn't really have mimosa in the first place. 10g of mimosa, even at 1% DMT content (most is more like 2%), would contain 100mg of dmt...Which virtually anyone will notice, if they take enough harmalas, and for most is a big dose.

Good point. That brings up a question, my friend and I brewed up some ayahuasca together at one point and both drank it, same dose and everything. It affected him way less than me, the next time he doubled his dose and still barely felt it compared to what I felt. His biggest dose was 10g and he having effects of around a 2-3g dose. Same batch and everything. Could the reason be the metabolism?

What if your friend takes the mimosa tea together with the rue tea?
For me, it works a lot better when I combine the dmt with the harmalas. It seems that if i wait too long after drinking harmala tea, the alkaloids have mostly passed the gut. By the time the dmt is consumed, it may no longer be adequately protected from the body's mao enzyme.
Perhaps people who eat raw rue seeds may benefit somewhat from a small pause before ingesting dmt, but my (and my friends) experience with purified extracts is that the simultaneous ingestion works best.

10g of mimosa? How much caapi or rue did he take with it? Metabolism might have something to do with it, but maybe he just needs more harmalas than you to get the same level of inhibition. People vary - for example some people need 5 or even more grams to get the psychedelic effects I get from 2 or 3 grams of rue. As a side note, there is always that X factor when it comes to dosing, for some reason...What I mean is, sometimes a low dose might blow you apart, and then the next time an even higher dose might do very little. It's weird.

3g rue he took that time if I'm not mistaken.
I also did 3g and was tripping more than he was from about half the mimosa.
I've been doing 4g rue recently. How much rue do you recommend for best effects?

It depends on the person, and what they're aiming for. Some just want to take enough to activate the DMT, but others also like to try a psychedelic dose of rue. 3-5g is pretty standard, but the effects can vary a lot person to person so maybe just experiment a bit and see what works for you.
