As a new member I am unable to post in the Changa thread so I decided to ask here. I have read a lot of info on Changa, but have some specific questions that I couldn't find clear answers to.
Why is it that burning changa in a pipe/cone/joint works without destroying the DMT? Does making changa without specific herbs such as caapi leaves still increase the duration of the trip? Eg if I were to make Infused leaf with parsley.
And lastly, if I had fresh parsley, would I need to dry it before soaking it in Dmt and IPA? Or could I just use fresh parsley leaves.
Thanks for your help.

Your freebase DMT is being converted to a salt when you dissolve it in acetone, and therefore is more stable with a higher temperate tolerance The change blends will make DMT last longer if they contain MAOI (such as caapi leaves, Syrian rue seed), but not if it is with other herbs such parsley or MJ Throughout recorded time and long before, trees have stood as sentinels, wise yet silent, patiently accumulating their rings while the storms of history have raged around them --The living wisdom of trees, Fred Hageneder

DMT is not suitable for smoking/vaporizing in it's salt forms. The only reason changa can be burned without pyrolizing much of the DMT is because the plant matter protects it, to some extent. The flame should still only be applied lightly to changa, in order to avoid burning the DMT. EvilSparx - Dried leaf matter is definitely your best bet.

Is there anywhere (besides online) where I can obtain Caapi Leaf, or other herbs containing MAOI? A passion fruit vine is currently growing in the back yard, would I be simple able to collect the flowers, dry them in the oven, and then use that for Changa?

From my understanding, passiflora species contain pretty low levels of harmala alkaloids in comparison to B. caapi or P. harmala. The amount of plant material required to inhibit MAO enzymes to any noticeable degree might be more than is desirable for changa. I have heard of people using passiflora for aya analogue brews though, so it might be possible to make changa with a passiflora extract of some sort. Also, I am not certain but I believe I read somewhere that the flowers do not have a very high alkaloid content compared to other parts of the plant. You may want to look into this more if you decide to go the passiflora route.

Try making a few small batches, one with the dried parsley, one with some dry passiflora leaves or flowers. If the passiflora blend last longer than it's probably active or placebo. If you enjoy either of these then look no further but if it's still not what you're looking for I would suggest a harmala extract. You can then make any herb changa. I hope this helps a little. Good luck my friend. Swim has Pau d arco, klip dagga, harmala blend drying now and one is excited to try it. =] namaste

I first need to successfully extract DMT from what I believe to be Acacia Obtusifolia But the reason I'm interested in Changa is that it seems a little less intimidating than crystal, and a lot easier to smoke, which will make it a more pleasant experience for my friends who want to try. I personally have never smoked DMT yet, but I don't mind the crystal form, I find it to look quite enticing. Although the sound of Lavender infused herbs or "Blue Dream" or "Electric Sheep" sounds very enticing, its like a DMT cocktail.

Enhanced leaf will be easier than crystals. Seems like you've got a lot of work and research to do but, you're in the right place for that. Maybe tell your friends something went wrong and find out what works for you. I would never give my friends anything I haven't tried myself, ya dig? =] namaste

Of course, I plan to try it first, I had a tiny amount of goo from my first extraction which may have contained a small amount of DMT, I kept staring at things and got slight swirly visuals in the air. I'm thinking of trying the crystal in a vapouriser before trying the infused leaf, because I want a pure DMT as a first true experience.

'Pure' dmt can be a goo, so I wouldn't get too caught up on the looks. What type of vaporizer are you thinking of using? =] namaste

Glass test tube vape, I use it for weed and it works really well, although for DMT some people say that convection is the way to go as it's harder to over heat. I would prefer the test tube though, as I can just heat it up, watch the vapour form, and take a big hit, instead of a continuous hit from a vaporgenie.
