Interesting article and video for your consideration.

Scientists don't 'prove' anything. Any scientist who tells you they've proved something is either conning you or a very bad scientist.

Really fascinating article! Maybe not the best of choice of title. Wink

Seems like it's a good validation of previous mathematical theories, and helps dispel some of the conundrums raised by the fractal universe theory.

Thanks for sharing! Thumbs up

as far as I can tell they did not prove anything, including that the universe is not a fractal. They did not scale the whole universe.
Long live the unwoke.

I just want to note, despite the title of this thread, the actual article does not ever use the word prove, nor does it make any claims to that end.

It simply says that the largest scale structural model of the universe that has been made so far seems to support the theory that matter is evenly distributed throughout the universe. Which correlates with the current suppositions of the age of the universe and the theory of relativity.

It may just be me, but the patterns they show of the large scale look pretty fractal to me. Granted it may not be the same pattern as the ones below it, but I definitely see patterning.

Ya i guess kind of misrepresented their findings in the title they chose, their title not mine Smile. I think it kind of looks like a neural network but thats just me. Like root structures of forests or the human brains neural connections.

You all should read the comments below the article some interesting things are said Smile. Love and light

The universe is whatever the study seeking to label the universe says it is at that point in time until the next theory comes along. Theres currently, what, 303,322 different theories from 382,292 physicists.

Im not trying to seem so blah, quantum/theoretical physics is by far one of my favorite topics to read up on. I wish I had the capacity to actually be in that field myself. But, when it comes down to it, it's true. But, hey thats science. Gotta dig.
