A CURIOUS PSYCHEDELIC MIND'S FIRST
EXPERIENCE with the DMT SPACE

:::::: THE SETUP ::::::

After lots of hours of research coupled with some wishful thinking, I came across some DMT (or it came to me) and after some months of charging up my cojones I decided to smoke it. I had been wondering about DMT ever since I first heard Terence McKenna speak of it, being quite intrigued by his depictions and descriptions. So once my path crossed with DMT's path I took that chance to acquire some (which by the way I got for free). Unfortunately I don't have a clue as to what the dose was, but just to give readers an estimate I can say that it came inside one of those cylindrical pills (kinda like the fish oil pills) that are two half pills joined together; say, about one-half of the pill was filled with this yellowish-white powder.

The powdered DMT came inside a pill similar to the ones
depicted here (they were actually transparent-yellow).

In order to smoke it I rolled a cannabis joint and deposited the DMT powder at the tip of the cigarette, right after the weed. I know what you're thinking "derp, why not use a pipe?" and my answer is "derp, I did not have one with me." This method I do not really recommend as it was quite apparent to me that a pipe would have worked a lot better and would have been a lot more efficient. So after rolling this up I headed outside, to my backyard, figuring being surrounded by Nature would be better than crammed inside a house. So I sat under a tree, smoked all the DMT as fast as possible (that is to say, not quite as fast as one would imagine since the smoke was thick as a brick), then I rested my head back and dropped all my tension from my shoulders to the chair. What a relief, I was so nervous but now I had already smoked it; waiting was all that was left at this moment so I closed my eyes and waited.

:::::: THE TRIP ::::::

At first nothing. Immediately I thought "huh, I figured it would not work...". Wrong, was I. Describing with words what I saw feels so dumb to me, so shallow; words are like just scrubbing your hand on the surface of a bed of thick ice, you can kinda see what's on the other side, but not really. Anyhow, until we invent the "see-what-I-mean" machine, words are all we've got to share each other's experiences of this kind. Video and images too, and to be honest some of the Alex Grey art blows my mind on a totally new level after this experience.

OK, back to the trip report. So, after the typical darkness behind closed eyelids, some sort of a colorful, mostly vertical stream of a dense smoke-like substance started floating in the center of my visual field, contorting like the guy from the circus who contorts his body into a small box or through a tennis racket or something insane like that. This vision was not intense in appearance, rather quite faint (probably related to the silly way I smoked it) but it was there. Then I felt what seemed to be a bright red light coming from the bottom-left quadrant of my field of view. I directed my attention to that part of the inner space and behold the vortex of red-and-blue cartoonish eyes. It was similar to the depictions of wormholes we see in documentaries, twisting and twirling away from me, towards infinity, except it was "made" of eyes. I did not feel intimidated by them, however the thought of going into the vortex did not even cross my mind; I was mind-blown by the scene.

After a while of staring at it, looking away, opening my eyes and looking at it again, the cartoon-eyed tunnel consistently appearing on the bottom-left of my vision, I finally opened my eyes one last time when the hallucination slowly faded away and started coming down.

:::::: FINAL WORDS ::::::

This was over a month ago and still I don't know what the vision meant, if it had any meaning at all; don't know wether it was real or just my imagination, this is why I will not take a guess at what the nature of the experience actually was. What I can say is that there are some elements apparently persistent throughout different people's trips which could imply a separate reality being accessed, or it could imply the same part of the brain being activated in the different individuals making this an experience 100% in our brains. I don't believe that last one to be honest.

This last image is the one I found most representative of what I saw; it's actually pretty freaky to see now after the trip because it feels so familiar (click to enlarge):

PS: My 2nd Trip Report is almost ready. It is a lot more detailed than this one, since my descriptive abilities have improved a lot and also since the trip was of a more familiar (3D) nature — partly because of the entities found in the space I entered on that second occasion, which was not the same as the hyperspatial dimension I got tangled with the first time.
The time between both experiences was of almost one full year, with the first having taken place in January 2013 — and the second one in December 2013)
