Havent broken through yet ..but have a question..for more experianced spice pilots ..

When a person breaks through ..do they [pass out].. somewhat?

Today on acacia i again got close and even saw a dome through a swirling colored vortex but the vision was at a distance ..and short lived..

Durring this i was compleatly alert and very relaxed...

Ive seen videos of people breaking through and they apear to be asleep...

Do they loose consciousness in some way .. when breaking through?

I think the appearance of sleep is only external. Considering that for many people a breakthrough experience comes practically definitively with the sense of an out-of-body experience (but not always) it makes sense that the person wouldn't appear to be conscious considering his attention would be off attending to something quite different than the reality you're currently tuned into.

It's possible to have what I consider a breakthrough
Experience and still remain alert and present on earth at the same
Time . The word Breakthrough has become such a fixation .

If your committed to the process a breakthrough of some kind inevitable .
They take many shapes and sizes

Even in subbreakthru's I get so zoned out that I feel like Im kind of completely shut off to the outside world and enveloped in a dreamlike state, and then once it starts to fizzle out Ill open my eyes and kinda look around lol. I get so drawn in that opening my eyes or popping out of it isnt even a thought.

I completely agree with you, as I'm in my body more than others it should seem. In general however, if the OP is noting what appears to be unconscious users, then it could be the case that they're having an OBE, or maybe they're still in body (as I tend to be) but even with eyes closed, it can be difficult to discern how "aware" the person is on the outside. No matter what the state of mind is, it is difficult and often innacurate to judge how a person is feeling or what they are experiencing by examining their "outer shell". Before I smoked weed, I used to think it was an uncomfortable experience cause the bleary sunken-eyed look and hazy mumbling looked incredibly uncomfortable to me, on the border of being sick. Little did I know I would grow to love that state.
