Hello Nexus
I have been dormant or some time, since my first mimosa drytek using q21q21.
with the fall of mimosa I have weary to try and preform the magic ritual again and with out the ease and purity of mimosa.
I one day felt the calling and decided i need to experiment with drytek and q21q21 tek on ACRB. I find working with minimal water and lye preferable. I'm sure I could handle it safely I would just rather not, you know.
PREP
well anyways I weighed and powdered 330 grams of frozen ACRB. I then started a hot water bath going for 130 F on the water. My entire process was carried out with this hot water bath.
ACID BATH
I prepared a mixture of Distilled water and some very fine vinegar. it was eyeballed about 1:1. I prepared way more than I need so i could mix to the desired consistency.I mix the acid water in with the ACRB in the Pyrex baking dish till it was just above the top of the bark. I mixed it up till the powder start to make a loose runny mud. then I let this sit in the hot water bath for 1-2 hrs. If the mud starts to dry and form a skin add some more acid water and re mix.
BASE
I had weighed out about 300 grams of Ms. Wages Pickling lime. I start adding it slowing and mixing it into the mud. I can see it working, turning the reddish purple to a grayish off color. I used almost all of the 300 grams, I just kept mixing until I saw none of the original color of the bark. my final consistency was a slightly dryer mud, almost crumbly.
I find it wise to add small amounts of Ms. wages, it will clump up and take some effort to incorporate completely.
I let the based mud sit covered for about 2-3 hrs on the hot water bath to hopefully ensure some success.
PULLING
For my pulls I measure out 600 ml of Klean Strip VM+P into a pouring cup. I did 5 x 125 ml Pulls letting each sit in the bark for about 30-45 minutes. some more solvent was needed to make up for the bark absorbing some.
all 600 ml was reduced down to about 200 ml. this was hopefully in pursuit of super saturation. I then poured 125 ml into a 4 Inch Pyrex pie dish. the other 75 was poured into a mason jar for crystallization experiment. I evaporated the 125 ml because i was expecting some goo from the Freeze precipitation anyways. the 75 ml I placed in the freezer was left in there for a full week on high blast
RESULTS
I yielding 708 mg of golden goo which is the first few pics. This goo was spread into a thin layer and dried to a very nice wax which is the 4th picture.
The freeze precipitation has been poured of but have not weighed it out. also its fluffy white crystals that are completely stable =D. I don't know why I got Crystal tho i was really only expecting goo. I didn't think it would be an outcome for such little effort, the crystals in that picture have been out of the freezer for 48 hrs.
I will post my final yield once i get that crystal scraped up. looks like i got that 708 mg +/- 500 mg from the freeze precipitation, so well call it 1.2 g tentatively
but at the end with out the community of the nexus, I would not be able to achieve this, I have to thank everyone who has ever written up a tek, I've read them all and absorb so much knowledge. more that I ever did in school. ill be posting my bio assays and trip reports soon.
Much love and joy everyone
