Followed BLAB and all was well until the 4th time limonene. My first three pulls were a nice dark orange and see-through but after I put in the fourth time limonene I think it got milky/cloudy fairly quick but I am not sure since I only turned it end over end a few times before going to bed and I did not have a good look. I did fill it up with some more of the vinegar/mimosa powder/naoh/water mix, which I had left over since I had to change to a bit smaller jar, just to have it nice and full again. But I had also done this before already once but just less with no change.
Until now there was always lots of residue on the sides of the jar but most of that has now gotten loose so it must have gotten into my limonene somehow, no? Shall I just pull off the limonene after a day and keep it separate and add some basified water to the mix as I read that can help or maybe add some basified water to the whole mix? If so how much water and naoh would I mix in it?
I am going to wash my limonene with some water and sodium carbonate anyway so could I just mix the milky limonene with the clear limonene (probably not a good idea unless you're certain that it would be fine)?
Or what else could I do?
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards, PPE

you could also just keep it separate..and let it sit for a few days and see if it clears up/settles

you could also try running it through some paper towel...paper towel can filter lots of stupid stuff out of dlimonene

Hi Jorkest,
Thanks for your replies.
I had read those on the forum but I was hoping that I could solve it before pulling it out, maybe now there are less of the desirable alkaloids in there since there are other contaminants in it? Anyway, I suppose it doesn't matter that much in the end.
In case it won't clear up in a few days could I use a coffee filter instead?
Kind regards, PPE

yeah but a paper towel might soak up any water that might be in it..little tiny drops of the stuff..possibly what is making it milky.
