Feeling overwhelmed by teks Options

Ive been reading up on different teks for nearly two months, trying to really get it down mentally before going forward for the first time. There are many good ones out there, of course. Most of them seem to raise questions for me though. I found a couple of nice looking ones, with diagrams, and instructions written out for total novices. But the steps are different from what I see on this site. The one in particular on my mind is here: http://www.thewanderinggod.com/notepad/?p=244 - it says not to boil the acid mixture, and to only cover the plant material with a little acid mixture. And other teks don't say that. From what I'm gathering on here, folks are still trying to figure out the best teks for AC bark. I am wondering if I should just pick one and do it. Also, how much bark should I start with? I have about 400 grams.

Thanks in advance.

Unrelated to the original question but to the link provided by the OP. There is mention of "Pilocarpus organensis containing 1.06% 5-MeO-DMT" I couldn't find any info on the nexus about this apart from this brief mention here Has anyone looked into this recently?

Another vote for Cyb's hybrid salt tek. Used it for my first extraction, and have done a couple now and every time it delivers the goods.

I follow the Marvin tek. Marvin is a program suite, by ChemAxon.
(it's not really a tek, but a computational function. Input the CID, calculate the pKa distribution). Using that, in conjunction with polarity data on ChemAxon's Chemicalize site, and a pH meter, you can extract most alkaloids quite effectively.

That's a nice flowchart, Cyb. You put a lot of thought and effort into that method. Big grin
Cheers.

I have searched for a couple months as well and am leaning towards this tek
https://wiki.dmt-nexus.m...E_METHOD#The_Cake_Method
It seems to require a lot less work and results in a much higher yield in fact I've started a new thread on the topic named "attempting MHRB cake method " at the least I'd say look this tek over before continuing. And any arvice for me from anyone else is welcome here or on my thread. Big grin
