I apologize if this isn't the right area to ask questions about the site itself. I tried searching a few times before deciding to post.

I'm having a problem with putting a picture in my signature. Every time the code comes up I put the direct URL in, save, but it won't embed the picture into my signature it just turns the entire thing into a link.

Is this because I'm a new member? Could anyone lend some advice?

I don't recall seeing anyone with Image signatures here on the Nexus.
A start contrast to somewhere like the Shroomery, where it's beyond littered with signature images. I much prefer text as a signature.
Never the less, I tried img tags, and yeah, not supported.

'Shroomery like' sigs are definitely Not something the Nexus wishes to emulate.

Images are not supported in a signature to prevent forum pollution, this was a deliberate choice.
