Hi cacti-folks, I'm curious if anyone knows about the alkaloid content of T. brevispinulosus. I've checked all of the standard alkaloid tables of various trichs and this one never seems to be listed. I spoke with a fellow who has a few and he said they're very slow growing compared to other trichs. They're very beautiful plants. Thank ya, Wap Edit: I just found its synonymous with T. harrissima Photos 2,3,4 are from: http://www.columnar-cact.../trichocereus/index.htmlwearepeople attached the following image(s): $T2eC16J,!ysE9sy0hCS3BRnouUz2Fw~~60_35.JPG (17kb) downloaded 127 time(s). t_brevispinulosusfl2.jpg (42kb) downloaded 127 time(s). t_brevispinulosusfl1.jpg (24kb) downloaded 127 time(s). t_brevispinulosus.jpg (34kb) downloaded 124 time(s). 0106141121.jpg (1,592kb) downloaded 63 time(s). 0106141121a.jpg (1,896kb) downloaded 62 time(s).+ ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- DMT Nexus Research ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- +

I don't see it in KT's Cactus Chemistry publication. I would be a little surprised if it was known to be active and he hadn't covered it, but that doesn't mean it's not a possibility.
