I was reluctant to clog up the site with yet another weird post about dosing, however I couldn't find an exact enough answer on the site and only have some vague thoughts on how much light to put into the next ayahuasca brew. The reason being that this time I will be dealing with salts precipitated from a FASA done on some Acacia Confusa Root Bark. The ratio of DMT to Caapi that I want to work with is 100mg DMT:120g of Caapi (or approximately 80mg DMT:100g Caapi). While there's obviously a range of acceptable ratios this one was given to me by a member on the Nexus that I trust and it was described as being high in DMT but just below the point where the spice starts to override the Caapi to an unwanted degree (just what I'm looking for). So while I've been happy to work with that ratio when dealing with full spectrum Mimosa extracts or isolated spice I have a feeling that the amount of extract would need to be greater in this case because of the higher NMT:lower DMT content in a full spectrum Acacia Confusa Root extract. Adding to my confusion endlessness's chart in the Acacia Analysis Thread on ACRB seems to suggest that the root bark contains a 2:1 ratio of NMT : DMT, however on the Nexus Wiki page for Acacia Confusa that ratio seems to be closer to 1:1 (still slightly higher in NMT but I rounded down for simplicity's sake).
Anywhoo if I assume about a 1:1 ratio of NMT : DMT in my recrystallized FASA salts while keeping in mind that NMT is about 1/3 as active as DMT than the equivalent to the 80mg/100g ratio should be about 200mg full spectrum ACRB salts/100g Caapi. Does that sound about right? Again
this is assuming that ACRB has approx. a 1:1 ratio of NMT : DMT (my bark seems like it was good, mature bark as it was from a trusted vendor and gave a high yield) and that NMT fumarate is the same % of actives as DMT fumarate by weight (60%).Quick rundown of my foggy math:
Ratio I'm trying to emulate 80mg DMT:100g Caapi
200mg full spectrum ACRB salts x 0.6 (DMT fumarate is 60% active, assuming 60% for NMT as well) = about 120mg active DMT:NMT
120 mg actives = 60mg DMT + 60 mg NMT
If I consider 60mg NMT to be about equivalent to 20mg DMT then theoretically I could count this as a total of 80mg DMT to be used in every 100g of Caapi. Should I have used the 2:1 ratio or also underdosed by a bit to account for the small amount of beta carbolines in Acacias?
Again I'm sorry to post such an overthought, complicated question but my work schedule doesn't very often afford me the 2 free days in a row that I'd need to drink any brew and I don't want to have to spend the next opportunity experimenting with dosages myself.
