Greetings Nexus!

I have been investigating A/B extraction of A. Confusa. (Using vinegar,NaOH and heptane) following this tek Elfspice's Acacia Extraction

After combining NP solvent pulls from baseified water, it recommends a few water washes adjusted to pH >= 8.5. Supposing one had to stop the process suddenly for 24h while the NP solvent was still in contact with the wash water, what will happen? Will the DMT leach back into the water a bit? If not, why is it necessary to baseify to a pH of > 13 in the first place? (Does the high pH speed up the transfer between P & NP solvents?)

Thank you for your reply Very happy

I sure don't want to leave it in the water long .. but supposing that has already happened, what does one do with a jar of NP solvent on wash water. ie. do you have to rebaseify the water to push DMT back into the solvent and rewash, or just suck the solvent off and keep going.

I would add 10-20gr of lye dissolved in a minimal ammount of h2o to the solvent/water bottle, and then strongly shake it to make sure that all the DMT is in base form and migrates to the solvent.

knocking the ph up to 13 will freebase all the dmt

the dmt would remain freebase at ph 8.5

on an unrelated note: i would highly advocate using a tek in the wiki. that tek you linked is... mediocre at breast.
