Hello!

I want to make an extraction of mescaline from Peyote.

I want to use the 69ron Tek with limonene, but I´m thinkin in use fresh peyote cactus.

What do you think about using fresh cactus instead dried cactus for extractions?

How can I dried? with sun?

Thanks guys!

You probably ought to do three freeze/thaw cycles to break down the cell walls, then put your plant product through a blender after each thaw.
As far as drying out the cactus, doing this will give you a paste that you can spread on wax or parchment paper, then you can dry it in the oven for a couple hours at about 175. Or put it under a light, or out in the sun, if you feel like that's the way to go.
Depends on your time crunch really, but yes, this "freeze-drying" sort of method will give you a much more forgiving product to extract from.

Hi & welcome @ the Nexus,

The 69Ron tek is meant for dry cactus STB.

If you want to work with fresh cactus you can look at the various A/B teks discussed on this forum.

I wouldn't recommend extracting peyote just for the psychedelic experience. You will be better of by consuming the cactus because in the TEK some of the active alkaloids other than mescaline will get lost.

Also you'll need quite some buttons so don't eat only 3-4 buttons especially if they are not aged yet. That's a waste because you probably only get threshold effects (if any).

And better not to harvest them from nature as they are getting extinct rapidly. Keeper Trout, a well known cacti expert also active on this forum, just posted this article about them placed on the red list:

If you grew them yourself or bought them from a nursery and you have enough buttons the only thing I can say is:

Enjoy one of the best experiences a man can get Smile

If you want to go for the extraction process to learn, better use San Pedro or other active Trichocereus species for that.

Poor yote. Sacrafice a torch, save the yote for the garden. "No cacti were harmed in the making of this snot brew" Very happy

In regards to d-limonene in this tek, it can be swapped with sunflower oil from what Ive read? Does this sound right?
...is this a dream or a memory

yes. it would seem most any vegetable oil can be used as a replacement for limonene
