Hello all,

When basing freshly blended cactus should water also be added? If so, what is a good ratio to shoot for? I will be using 4 12inch cuts of blended san pedro.

Also, i'm planning to add lye directly to the vessel and mixing it up in a high speed paint mixer like dg suggests. Is it safe to mix lye water and cactus in this way?

usually you need to add some water to get it to blend well
and there has to be enough water to dissolve the lye (fruit smoothy)

Its as safe as you make it.
i recommend doing this while wearing gloves, mask, goggles, long sleeve clothing.
i like to have my mixer running as i add the lye to avoid clumping and hot spots
