My spice... is not very good. Neither are my yields.
My procedure is
Add 50mL vinegar to 50g Acacia Confusa rootbark and stir Add 50mL near boiling water and stir Sit for 40 minutes Add 30g hydrated lime and stir Add 50mL naptha and wait
I pull after 24 hours, and 48 hours after my first pull.
In a separatory funnel, I add 30mL vinegar to the naphtha and shake. Then add 50mL hot water and shake. I drain off the aqueous layer and discard the naphtha I boil off the water with a double boiler
My yields are very low. My spice is yellow gunk. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be very appreciated.

i would advise using lye, and i would also asvise just combinin bark water vinegar in a pot, boil for an hour, pour off, add more water, 3x, combine liquids and reduce to a small manageable amount, add 1g lye for every 1g bark to some other water and mix the two, then add hot naptha while it's hot, swish 5 min, siphon off with turkey baster, repeat 3-4x, reduce naptha and allow to slow cool. They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

Is there a specific tek you are using? Also what sort of vessel are you using to contain your mixture? A large jar would be best because when you add the naphtha it needs to be shaken really well several times over a period of time preferably in a heated bath of water. If when you add the nps you leave it for 24 hours with out shaking it up then the solvent wont bind with the DMT, I'm guessing that's where you're going wrong.

Then you're boiling it into nothing. Quote: I don't know what I'm doing wrong You're better off just following one of the teks here at the Nexus. They're tried and trusted. It took 3 posts before this was pointed out. Lol You are turning it into a freebase when you add the lime. Then its being absorbed into the naptha. What you need to do at that point is either evaporate your naptha or put it into your freezer over night. That will be dmt freebase. That's what you want. When you added vinegar to your naptha you turned it back into a salt. That was pointless. "I am cursed by the blossoming knowledge of my feminine ideal and she looks suspiciously like you."

I followed q21q21's food safe tek. I salted it to get it out of the naphtha, I don't necessarily want my house to smell like naphtha. I'd really like to avoid using lye, it's hard to get in my part of the country. Meth country and all that.
I know I have DMT-acetate. But I thought I could freebase it again with the addition of heat?
I will switch to d-Limonene if I have to keep it in the solvent.

Your house isn't going to smell like naphtha. Once it's based and you do a naphtha pull just toss it in the freezer. I didn't smell anything. I used Pyrex flat bottom bowls with red lids. "Energy flows where attention goes" [Please review the forum Wiki and FAQ before posting questions]
