don't know if anyone has taken notice or not, but i was just poking through the "memberlist" link and apparenty the majority of members on this site joined in the past 3 weeks. Is that strange? I myself only joined in June of this year. Is that simply testament to the high quality of this site? or did everyone decide to extract demetri this summer? Maybe I am unfamiliar with how the site works...perhaps peoples accounts get erased if left inactive? If not, the spike in membership is interesting. Anyway, it got me, and my pet beetle, thinking. It's nice that those of us in the states can order MHRB with relative ease, but how long before that is no longer possible? If my pet beetle can extract nearly pure spice with virtually no training, that means most people can do it...which is great news, to be sure. But y'all have seen how the heat came down on Salvia. How will those of us interested in sustaining this lifestyle manage to do it? It's nice to live in Australia with acacias around, but what about the urban dwellers and others without easy access to the right ingredients? My pet beetle started his quest for the spice by planting phalaris grass everywhere, it's super easy to take care of, but it's a pain in the arse to work with. However, the evergrowing popularity of spice gives me pause...it might be worth it to try again with phalaris, just in case it becomes to difficult to acquire mhrb...i dont wanna get all radiohead about it, but the world is getting a trickier to navigate. Maybe I'm still reeling from what my beetle tells me about his spice experiences...but it's such a power, and with that comes serious responsibility.Personally, I'm much more vigilant now about the who what where and when. There is the obvious flispside though, that is: perhaps increased awareness of experiences like these will be a catalyst for positive change in the world. I pray that's the case, and that we can outrun some doomsday fascist future. Until then, my beetle waters the phalaris.... Y'all are the shit. Keep going (on the down lo, tho). respectfully habib

On this moment I'm looking at the prospect of moving this forum away from phpBB (it's phpBB that attracts the ever enhancing spam-bots). At the moment I'm investigating an open-source ASP.NET forum which is a good thing since I'm a VS.NET programmer and in contrast to PHP I can change ASP.NET code quite quickly to bust away spam bots. The other good thing with the ASP.NET forum is that I can integrate some new stuff with it that we are currently working at.

I wanted to say something meaningful but i've been speaking a lot lately and .. well, i must be lost for words what Habib said (kudos to your beetle sir, and your words) triggered a rush of agreeance.. as in, if i were going to say something, i'd have said that regarding phalaris.. I believe reed canary grass (p.arundinacea) is what a lot of people are using, but i'd strongly suggest p.brachystachys [img:357a3c18d5]http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/ana.gif[/img:357a3c18d5] dang bots, how bad [img:357a3c18d5]http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/ana.gif[/img:357a3c18d5]

Thanks Coschi unfortunately, my beetle has p.arundinacea, he will search for p.brachystachys, if you know of any places off hand, he would greatly appreciate the info. (PM me and i'll relay the info ) cheers H

The joe rogan video comes to mind instantly. I know of a lot of people that have approached me and brought it up in conversation, without ever knowing what DMT even was. This could be a bad thing. If it get's too much attention, it's likely to fall wayside as another "drug" that get's "abused" by us hippies, lol. Do not be -seen-on-see-on-

Perhaps before it gets massive government interest and consequently all supply of bark, dmt containing plants and seeds etc.. .. we should all work together to slip every single person a dose of DMT. i don't know how you'd get them to rip a cone without knowing (or bang for that matter..) ah, pharmahuasca, everyone in the food service industry; you have a mission this way, if everyone see's, i bet they'd simply not be able to bring themselves to banning it, perhaps things would swing our way for a change?

I'd also like to note the recent rise in DMT Quick Teks and how available they are especially on sites such as Erowid and Shroomery. I have to admit, I had never tried DMT until after researching what it was all about, and eventually giving some good articles on extractions to a friend of mine. That's when I found out why they called it the Spirit Molecule. I also stumbled onto some old archives of Rhodium and Hive and I have to say, the internet is a powerful, but crazy place. I find it all somewhat comical, though. As far as the status of the matter at hand goes: I haven't seen it on lot like I thought I might after reading the booming Shroomery thread regarding Vortex's Quick Tek, so all is good so far. I encourage everyone to keep things like this to themselves. Word of mouth is a powerful thing and I really would hate to see the wrong information get into the wrong hands. Keep your spice to yourself, maybe enlighten a few friends, but never talk about the procedures. Just my take on it, open to interpretations... Love and Light. ...Wildflower seed in the sand and stone, may the four winds blow you safely home.

I'm not sure if it's a bad thing for the masses to get aware of DMT. on the short term it wil probably be bad, we've all seen the Salvia debate but on the long term I'm not sure. Public awareness moves away quickly after the initial attention from the media. I also think it's impossible to stop something on the internet, people who are seeking will find information, be it the Nexus or another site. Security by obscurity is a never winning move. Then some other news: Today I succesfully converted the user table from the phpBB database to the new forum-database. With a bit of luck I can also convert the posts and then it's time to tranfer the whole bunch and continue with the new forum.

This is all the more reason to concentrate on developing local sources of plants (said the guy who wrote a MHRB tek). Phalaris, desmanthus, acacia - there's bound to be more. Besides finding them ourselves, we need to put pressure on suppliers. I'm sure they'd be just as happy not to have to deal with border issues as we.

My friend says he has dreams about planting fields of grass and skipping through it like the girl in "Little House on the Prarie". He then dreams of buying a conbined harvester. However most disscusion he has had in that area have turned up negative issues such as hard core poisons which are extracted with the spice and are difficult, if not impossible to seperate from the spice, in a rough and ready kitchen set up. Can habib share his beetles experiences with grasses? I am a clown, nothing I say can be taken seriously. It is my profesion to talk nonsense

Can habib share his beetles experiences with grasses?[/quote:6a0b1bb246] That is priceless imagery there, magic clown As for the grasses, my pet beetle keeps phalaris plants in multiple places, but has had less than stellar results extracting spice from them. The reason for that being he was using Quantum Tantra's tek every time he tried to extract, and he would end up with some nasty emulsions. He got discouraged with the process, but in light of the new quickteks, has had renewed interest in extraction procedures. He successfully worked MHRB a few times now, and is anxious to try again with the grass. He,too, has read about the undesirables that come along with the spice from phalaris, but will try an extraction soon anyway, and I will post his results for sure. The grass is so damn easy to cultivate, he wishes for a way to make it work. more on this soon H

Coschi's acacia tek would probably be quite a bit better.

"lifestyle sustainability" huh? So I was just wondering what the general consensus is around here at the moment... Do you think it would be best: 1) to skulk in rainbow coloured shadows, a secret hyperspace cult :ninja: ? 2) to be good meme replicators and tell everybody who we deem to be not-detrimental to meme-health \ / ? 3) to do neither, just watch from the sidelines, and let the thing spin? Or what? I realise that spilling the spice could conceivably (sadly) start/contribute to some huge idiotic orwellian dystopia not only in this context but also in terms of the general psychedelic/ or else just mess things up for us But...I want my partner to know dmt. I think a few of my friends would love to know it. And even then... SECRET HYPERSPACE CULT!! Wooo! Like the illuminati...sort of...maybe not... :ninja: I was never here :ninja: Onwards and upwards _______________________ "am SWIM human? am SWIM alien? am SWIM even WHAT?!"
