First of all I want to say I'm totally new here and this is my first post. I look forward to be an active member on these forums as I'm really into ayahuasca(formosahuasca) and someday I'll extract DMT aswell.
I want this mainly to focus on the scientific part in first hand.
I'll start the thread by posting my way of cooking ayahuasca, and I'd love some input, and/or science behind it, such as how much citric acid needed to reduce the pH to 4.5-5.5, and or which fruits to use for vitamin C.
I'm using this recipe as a guideline with some adjusmtents:
http://www.scribd.com/do...Brewing-Asian-Ayahuasca-I start off by using about 1l water with 60 grams of acacia confusa powdered bark, mixed with 1 tbsp of citric acid, to then put it in the freezer to break the cell-walls (not sure about the words, English isn't my native language). I put the syrian rue in water at this time aswell to leave in roomtemperature water over night.
The next day I unthaw the acacia blend in the morning. Once thawed I put it in a 3l cooking pot and fill up water until there's 2.5l in the mix. I then add 2 Limes or kiwis or lemons to the pot, sliced up, for the vitamin C. I boil up slowly on low heat, and then I reduce it to 1.5l of brew. I then add more water and reduce it again to about 800ml of fluid.
I do pretty much the same thing with the Syrian rue/harmala, but in less quantities. I reduce it down to about 100-120ml of fluid, which are served as shots. I use 14 grams of syrian rue.
When this is done (the Confusa takes about 10h to prepare, the Harmala takes about 5h.)
I have about 4 servings of both the brews.
I drain the brews in coffee-filters and press out all the liquid stuck in the seeds/bark about 2 times before I drink/put it in the freezer for storage.
I take the syrian rue about 20-40 minutes before I drink the Acacia brew.
With this way of preparing I've had extremely sensational and pleasant, deep trips on about 150ml, altough I had a more spiritual trip on 100ml when I took it alone with an extremely good setting.
The trips generally lasts for about 2-4 hours.
I'd love some input on the way of preparing it and such, do you think the citric acid/litre of water is good?
I really enjoy formosahuasca, though I haven't tried any other kind of ayahuasca.
I plan on making an infographic about preparing formosahuasca in the best way possible to extract the most DMT and to get the best flavour of the brew.
