These are unusual insects, that multiple people have never seen before and don't know a common name for. They are only on 1 kind of tree, and I've just noticed 2 trees of this kind losing leaves due to these creatures. This is in Alabama, USA. What are they? spaiders have always scared me, created a fierce physical reaction in me, but as I grow older the fear dissipates, to be replaced by respect. Still don't wanna be close to them, but I don't feel the need to run in terror.

I just found a bunch of these wooly aphids at a nearby nature preserve last week and was like WTF? Thanks for answering that question for me! Coinci-Transcendentalism
