First Aya Brew (Caapi/MHRB) Options

Hey all, so I spent a very long time brewing my Caapi and MHRB properly putting a lot of effort into it. In the end I wasn't impressed and I've got some questions.

Brew Used:
3x3 plus a further reducing afterwards.
1l water + 1 tbl spoon Vinegar per brew.
50g Caapi (Yellow Vine, Shredded)
10g MHRB (Shredded)

Drink:
Drank my Caapi after saying a few words and waited 30-40 mins to drink MHRB. After having drank MHRB I felt the purge coming on after 30 mins had passed from me drinking it. So when I did purge Caapi had been in my system for 1hr and MHRB had been in my system for 30 mins. The effects weren't what I thought they would be as I had added MHRB, I've had a Caapi only brew before and it was kind of comparable to this experience only better, and no purge.

Questions:
Did I purge to soon? (I've heard that 30-40 mins is a standard purge time)
Next time should I up my MHRB amount? If so how much?
Is Rue and MHRB a better more efficient way than Caapi and Rue?

The purge is odd. I have purged within 15 min of dosing and had very powerful experiences. Aya can be very inconsistent and different every time. Could be you need more than 50g for full maoi and could be the fact that shredded mimosa has much less surface area. 15g is a good amount for shredded bark so I would try upping your caapi next time to maybe 65-75g but 15g could be too much with proper maoi so be careful.

For me I need about 100g vine for full maoi, others only need 50g. everyone is different but before you increase your bark I would first try more vine first. Maybe dont space out your vine and bark so long. 20 min is more than adequate. If you space it out too much you can have a shorter journey.

Sounds good I will give that a try, so should I stick with 10g MHRB again or up to something like 12g? One of the reasons I ask is that currently on hand I've only got 50g left of Caapi.

If Aya is so inconsistent is Rue and MHRB better in its results? Aya has such a long prep time it's a shame when it doesn't work out.

rue and mhrb is not really aya. But truth is that anything without caapi is NOT ayahuasca!
50g yellow caapi is too weak alsoEmbarrased
You need more than that 100-150g.
For your information shamans in the amazon have caapi drinks with dosage in the 500g rangeCool

I've found myself in a similar situation. I've had three tries so far. First with 50g caapi leaves + 50g chacruna with a hint of lemon and vinegar during some brewing. My diet hadn't been ideal so I had a slight headache and pretty much just went to bed. For the next one, I put lemon in the leaves, froze them and then re-brewed. Both times I willingly purged.

This morning, I had two brews instead of one from 50g shredded white caapi vine + 8g shredded mimosa hostilis bark. I added about a tablespoon of 'mother' cider vinegar to the first pulls and then did two more pulls. A common water filter jug was used to supply water which is hard water, I guess, being in the outer city. The aya pulls were a bit longer than the mhrb and I used egg white tek before reducing the mhrb water. After they were both fridge settled and i had got my rest, I sipped down the aya and then mimosa. There was no purge this time, just a wave of nausea.

Each experience has been pretty pleasant and educational but nothing extraordinary. All I have is some extra feeling, perhaps more than placebo. Certainly no obvious extra sensory info or realisations. I wanna meet my maker! Lol.
..kinda wish I had some changa right now.

So I have about 90g mhrb and I'm considering Q21Q21's extraction tek for it's 'food-grade' approach. Extraction looks daunting but I guess it's fairly straight forward. I'm wondering if I just boil 100g shredded white caapi with 50g chacruna and maybe powder them if possible this time, I might discover more.

My friend recommended aya first for something profound and memorable. I'm resisting just using rue as I want to break in more traditionally.. get those great jungle spirit vibes going. My plan is a successful trip with white, yellow, black then red caapi, ideally with chacruna then start to explore chali, analogs and perhaps even datura one day. However, if I were to come accross a smokable form i probably couldn't resist. Like when I had the opportunity for a basic salvia hit.. it was a nice little experience!
