I was wondering if the Sodium Carbonate is still good and reusable as a base, after pulling from it? What i do when i extract, is simply do a water extraction on either some Mimosa or Acacia, filter out the bark and evaporate the liquid down till there's just a small amount left, and then toss in pure Sodium Carbonate and allow it to dry. I then pull from the Sodium Carbonate with Acetone getting all the goods and afterwards the Sodium Carbonate dries out and becomes powdery again.

I realize there is probably dried plant gunk with the Sodium Carbonate, but Acetone seems to leave all the gunk behind so i thought instead of having to keep buying baking soda to turn into Sodium Carbonate, i could just simply reuse what i got, atleast for a few more times.

I'm also going to try evaporating the water extractions down to a residue, and make a super saturated Sodium Carbonate water solution which i will then pour onto the residue which should work, hopefully. But for right now i just dump the Sodium Carbonate into the concentrated and mainly evaporated brew, and pull with the solvent to evaporate the freebase goo onto leaves for Changa, and it's the way to go, for me.

I don't have a solid answer for the question but I had been wondering if sodium carb could be used as a base instead of lye. In your H2O soak do you acidify at all?

I have some acacia on hand I might like to try your tek on because. Nontoxic is awesome so I would love to know more.

Can be used yes but its crap as it fizzes up and it solidifies after use leaving your jar fucked so no it cant be used again.
Lye gives out fumes yes but if you have good ventilation and wear gloves its fine.
Any high pH solution is dangerous doesnt matter which you use.

Sodium Carbonate has been fine to base DMT with, it's the only base i will use, screw lye. Sodium Carbonate does a good job, i've pulled 5 grams from Mimosa inner root bark on many occasions so it's for sure a great base.

DreaMtripper, i've never had a jar go bad on me from using Sodium Carbonate.

And Skooby naw i don't acidify my brews at all, i make the brew, base it and pull with either Iso or Acetone, it's worked great so far.
