Position of alks in nonpolar solvent Options

Does anyone know if the alkaloids prefer a certain area in the solvent? Do they rise to the top or sink to the bottom?

The reason I ask is if you are:

Using a sep funnel are the majority of alks going to be in that least few drops before you get to the aqueous layer or do they come out as soon as you open the valve.

Decanting with dry teks, will the alks flow out first or begin to get lost in the aqueous mud toward the end of pouring.

I assume the alks are spread through out the solvent, but do they prefer a position?
We actually worship incomprehensibility as the highest form of explanation. ~TM

The alkaloids should be equally distributed throughout the solvent, unless of course you just added some alkaloids and they still didn't have time to dissolve.

from what i know with limonene saltings, when the alks are salted (rendered insoluble) they sink.

in fact most precipitate occurs at the bottom in all the methods i know of (including harmala extractions)

so if it isn't completely dissolved in the solvent, its probably at the bottom, but if it is dissolved, it would then be equally distributed as endlessness said.
